T10556 Taper Attachment Kit for G4002/G4003/G4003G Lathes

This taper attachment is for the G4002 12" x 24" Gearhead Lathe, G4003 12" x 36" Gearhead Lathe, and the G4003G 12" x 36" Gunsmith Lathe.

The T10556 provides precision outside and inside tapers without having to offset the tailstock or disengaging the cross slide.

This allows the taper attachment to be functional at any time by simply tightening the bed clamp bracket. The taper attachment does not interfere with other turning operations.

This taper attachment features scales at both ends, reading inches-of-taper per foot and angle of taper.

An adjustment knob with fine threads achieves precise control when setting tapers.

Note: Drilling and tapping holes to mount to the saddle is required. For G4002/G4003 lathes manufactured prior to 2013 additional machining of saddle is required as the bore is not big enough for the gear on the hand wheel shaft.
